Hi, I'm Romil Shah, an orthopedic surgeon
who is excited about the ways technology
will make surgery cheaper and more accessible
work
In the past 10 years, we have learned AI can help interpret medical images and videos via computer vision and collect important information from physician notes with natural language processing. In the next 10, we will work to see which applications are the most promising in clinical practice
Data collected by your smartphones and wearables can redefine the way we monitor and evaluate your health. We are working on projects that help define what is "healthy," find treatments which are the best for certain people, and help monitor patients immediately and long-term after surgery
